One of 1000 numbered copies in plain white wrappers with a front cover decoration in metallic silver and blue by James Joyce’s daughter, Lucia Joyce. The book is printed on Old Antique Dutch paper and features an initial capital decoration and tailpiece also designed by Lucia. The Mime of Nick, Mick and the Maggies is a fragment of Finnegans Wake (1939).
The 1000 copies were sold under four imprints: The Servire Press in The Hague, Holland; Messageries Dawson in Paris, France; Faber and Faber in London, England; and Gotham Book Mart in New York, New York. This copy is from from Gotham Book Mart.
The book is in very good condition with some wear to the corners. The pages are completely uncut and unopened. The original glassine dust jacket has some chips and tears. The original slip case is cracked at the bottom spine but is overall in good condition. This is copy #747.
